Fluorosilicone oil is a chemically inert substance with excellent oil resistance, solvent resistance, chemical reagent resistance, high-efficiency lubricity, hydrophobicity, oleophobicity, demoulding, defoaming and anti-fouling properties. It is suitable for the lubrication of high-speed bearings and various mechanical parts in the presence of chemical media, as well as valves, bearings, gears, sealing gaskets, mechanical pumps, etc. that are resistant to fuel, lubricating oil and solvents. In addition, the defoaming agent prepared by it is suitable for various systems, especially for solvent-based detergents. Fluorosilicone oil is also widely used in hydrophobic, oleophobic and anti-fouling finishing of fibers and fabrics, modifiers of electrical insulating oils, coatings and plastics.
Fluorosilicone oil can be used as a base oil to prepare fluorosilicone grease and fluorosilicone paste by adding thickeners, stabilizers and modifying additives. When trifluoropropyl silicone oil is used as a grease base oil, it can significantly improve the boundary lubricity of steel-steel. Generally, the friction coefficient of mineral lubricants increases with the increase of load, while fluorosilicone lubricants have obvious advantages in this regard. In addition, general mineral lubricants wax or their viscosity decreases significantly as the temperature rises, which reduces the function of the lubricating oil and makes it easy to lose. Fluorosilicone oil has a particularly good viscosity-temperature coefficient. It can be used alone or mixed with dimethyl silicone oil or methylphenyl silicone oil. Its lubricity is significantly better than chlorophenyl silicone oil, and even better than mineral oil grease under high load. Fluorosilicone grease prepared with it is suitable for -70~252℃, and can be used for the lubrication of high-speed and heavy-load bearings in contact with chemical reagents, the lubrication and sealing of valves in contact with corrosive compounds, etc. Fluorosilicone paste can be used as high vacuum silicone paste, and can be used for lubrication and sealing of parts in contact with benzene solvents.
Because the surface tension of fluorocarbon-based silicone oil, especially long-chain perfluoroalkyl silicone oil, is lower than that of other silicone oils, the defoamer prepared with it is more effective in reducing the surface tension of various foaming systems, and the effect is better than other silicone oil defoamers. Fluorosilicone oil defoamers can be used in the petroleum industry, textile industry, synthetic rubber and resin industry, coating and ink industry, food processing industry, fermentation industry, medical applications, etc.
Fluorosilicone oil can also be used to prepare mold release agents. It has good anti-stickiness and lubricity, does not corrode molds, is non-toxic and safe, and can be used in molding, pouring, encapsulation and coating processes. Emulsion or solvent-free products made of fluorosilicone oil-based polymers can be used as paper release agents and have very unique properties.
Fluorosilicone oil can be used to prepare fluorosilicone fabric finishing agents. Fabrics treated with fluorosilicone fabric finishing agents are water-repellent, oil-repellent, dirt-repellent, and anti-static, making them easier to wash than ordinary fabrics; at the same time, they can maintain good softness, feel, and combing properties.
