Silicone microspheres are snow-white, regular, flowable, micron-sized spherical fine powders with a three-dimensional cross-linked molecular network structure, exhibiting excellent heat resistance and dispersibility. Their preparation techniques include sol-gel, hydrolysis-condensation, and autoclave synthesis. By manipulating parameters such as reaction temperature and catalyst dosage, the particle size can be precisely controlled to a range of 0.9-2.6μm. Nanjing Sanfan Chemical produces and supplies silicone resin microspheres in various sizes, including 0.8μm, 1.8μm, 2μm, 2.5μm, 3μm, 5μm, 10μm, and 15μm. These materials are widely used in light diffusers, LED lighting, coatings, and cosmetics, playing a particularly critical role in optical control of liquid crystal displays (LCDs).
When used as a light diffuser in LCDs, the 0.9μm-diameter microspheres effectively improve light uniformity. In flame retardant materials, their three-dimensional cross-linked structure can slow combustion; in cosmetics, their fluidity improves skin feel; and in the coatings industry, their high-temperature resistance enhances coating durability.
